Follow-up to #361 / #364 (two-person study scenario 18b, #218). With the channel's host unreachable, the composer still asked the channel for its models, got "No reachable host runs that channel" and showed it in the footer as if it were a provider problem, with a Provider settings button. The conversation already says "Offline: is unreachable" (#364), so the composer now skips the lookup while the channel is offline and retries when it's back. Refs #361.

Built in Ace

No — built with Claude Code outside Ace by an overnight issue watcher, because this Mac's Ace Canary is a participant in the running two-person study (#218); dogfooding gap tracked in #5.
